![]() ![]() IMO shaman might be a better choice if you go for m+ content - druid can manage, but for me it’s still a bit of a struggle to keep everyone alive (god the damage spikes). I think it’s more about which one feels more natural/fun to play: If you have learned your class well and deeply, you can do any content. I’d say both are very viable in the endgame and you can’t really make a wrong decision here. Shammies rock! Consider Druid for raiding only. TLDR: That’s one for the weaver of the waters of life. Its DPS rotation is straightforward in keeping up Flame Shock, then using Lava burst (especially with instant procs!) and casting lightning bolts, almost as simple as an oldschool Ele shammy rotation! ![]() I found it very easy to learn with both an effecient and quick heal, a HoT with a moderate instant heal, and let’s be honest, the healing rain has both a cool visual and provides lots of passive healing, all the while conserving mana easily. That leaves Shammies for that content, by also being okay for raids, with all the different utility totems and a self ress, while having powerful heals when you most need it thanks to its mastery (the lower the ally’s HP, the more you heal). Furthermore, catweaving is easy to mess up if you don’t pay attention if you get to DPS. It rocks in raids from what I’ve heard, but it has a large learning curve, so Druid isn’t the best pick if you are an M+ player. HoT’s aren’t a bad playstyle at all, but since pugs take unpredictable (and thus likely spiky) damage, and your spotheals are ineffecient (Regrowth is like Flash Heal so a quick heal), it’s not the best for keys. My question is: if I’d like to do mythics later and raiding and just not to be worried about the numbers, should I stick with Druid or the Shammy is better? Also shamans tend to be better at crappy situations when the tank gets a slap and poof, 80% health is gone. But as I lvl one now and do dungeons, I barely have to stop whereas with my Druid i was dry all the time no matter what lvl. Strangely enough I didn’t like shamans back in the day because of their huge mana hunger. The innervate is literal garbage compared to its formal self and I really miss the mana recharge option it had before.the hots give freedom and mobility but I am constantly in fear that I have only one “omgsh*thitthefan” button in the name of swiftmend. The mobility is still the same, but the mana is a big issue for me - I guess it gets better with better gear (around 180 atm), although I’m a bit lost. I have a bit of a struggle… back in tBC and WotLK I played resto Druid and I loved it: mobile, barely out of mana due to lifebloom stack procs and stuff, however, now I struggle. ![]()
